The IDHBA Northern Ireland Branch Challenge 2018

BranchChallenge

The IDHBA Northern Ireland Branch Challenge  is a series of 6 Ridden Irish Draught classes in various venues around Northern Ireland, see below for venues and dates, with a prize fund of over £500.00.
The objective is to recognise the best performing IDHBA member’s horses in each of the 6 rounds as well as the best performing IDHBA member’s horses over the complete series.

Rules:
1. Horses must be pure bred Irish Draught and passports must be available for inspection.
2. Horses must be presented for microchip scanning if requested.
3. Owners must be members of the Irish Draught Horse Breeders Association.
4. Points will only be awarded if membership is valid prior to entry into the ring for any class in the series.
5. The judge’s decision in each class is final.
6. Points will be awarded for highest placed IDHBA member's horse as follows:
Highest placed IDHBA member's horse 10 points
Second highest placed IDHBA member's horse 8 points.
Third highest placed IDHBA member's horse 6 points.
Forth highest placed IDHBA member's horse 4 points.
Fifth highest placed IDHBA member's horse 2 points.
7. Points will be awarded to individual horses only and cannot be combined with other horses belonging to the same owner, however a member can enter more than one horse in a class.
8. Rosettes will be awarded to the top three member’s horses on the day. Winners of rosettes may be asked to pose for photographs to be used by IDHBA NI Branch for publicity purposes.
9. The top placed member’s horse will receive £50.00 in each class in the series.
10. The Challenge series winner, the horse that has accumulated the most points will receive £100.00, the IDHBA NI Challenge Perpetual Trophy, Sash and a Champion rug.
11. Runner up will receive a Reserve Champion sash.
12. In the event of a tie the horse achieving the highest placing at the earliest round of the series will be deemed the overall winner. This would also apply to Reserve position if a tie exists.
13. With regards the series scoring and in the event of any disputes the IDHBA NI committee's decision is final
